Track 2: Nursing specialties

There are a variety of fields in which nurses can specialize and they may decide that they want to qualify in one or more specialties during their career. Here is a range of some of the nursing specialty areas available:

Track 3: Nursing Practice

Nursing is both a science and an art of nursing. It is a complex profession in constant evolution with first-rate ethics, standards, and practices to improve the quality of your care. Nurses are trained to adapt their practices and offer patients care adapted to their comfort and needs. Nursing practice has fundamental implications with the development, implementation, and analysis of research. Improving patient safety by improving the quality of nursing is the main component of their practices with specialized knowledge, skills and independent decision making.

The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, skills and independent decision making from a nurse who works in a doctor's office or surgery. Practicing nursing, they work in general practitioner practices where they provide nursing, health care and health education to patients of all ages.

Restorative practices modify the impact of illness and disease.

Supportive practices are oriented toward modification of relationships or the environment to support health.

Track 4: Holistic Nursing Practice

Holistic Nursing Practice (HNP), The Science of Health and Healing, is a semi-monthly peer-reviewed journal that explores holistic models of nursing practice. Content emphasizes complementary traditional and holistic nursing and health care practices. Articles include theory-based interventions and their outcomes, including innovations in holistic nursing practice; research related to holistic nursing practice, health care and policy; and the values and ethical and legal issues related to holistic nursing practices. The holistic approach is a worldview that emphasizes the health and healing potential of human systems rather than the disease process and deficit.

The primary goal of holistic nursing is to address the social, cognitive, emotional, and physical issues of the patient by understanding their spiritual and cultural beliefs. Holistic nurses learn the five core values of caring, critical thinking, holism, expanding the nursing role, and accountability that focus on the health of patients, their families, and allied health practitioners involved in patient care.

Track 5: Nursing and Healthcare

The diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, illnesses, injuries, and various physical and mental ailments in humans constitute health care. It is an important sector for the promotion of the general, physical, mental health and well-being of people around the world. Health care is initiated by providing primary, secondary, and tertiary care for public health. The healthcare sectors are dedicated to the provision of healthcare products and services through a group of trained and experienced professionals drawn from interdisciplinary teams.

Track 6: Oncology Nursing

Oncology nursing is probably one of the most challenging and rewarding areas of nursing. This education must be done effectively throughout the treatment of the disease and care for the patient, in the style of teaching that best suits the patient. The nurse educates patients about their condition and side effects and how to avoid complications. An oncology nurse is a nurse who specializes in the care and treatment of people with cancer. Oncology nurses should have appropriate training in the administration, handling, side effects, and dosing of chemotherapy. Each facility will have their own policies for various chemotherapy drugs to ensure proper training and prevent errors. Their practices in the association will be several oncological disciplines, including surgical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecological oncology, and medical oncology.

Track 7: Pregnancy & Midwifery

Midwives are health professionals who are well suited and trained to provide antenatal care during labor and delivery and postpartum care. They have additional training and qualifications for nursing education in childbirth, breastfeeding consultation and / or doula care. Midwives deliver in hospital or at home depending on the client's expectations and the severity of pregnant women. In addition to providing care for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, they can also provide primary care related to reproductive health, including annual gynecological tests, family planning and menopausal care. They are specialists in pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and health care for women.

Track 8: Quality Care and Patient Care

Quality care: Today in rural areas, most of the management of hospitals does not respond well to patients, so we need to improve the quality management system in hospitals, such as the quality of care and treatment. Health care, it means how nurses react to it. Once the doctor is out of place, the atmosphere in the hospital will affect how people feel about health care in the hospital.

Patient Care: Patient care is very important via treating the patient; it will give them attention, time, and care for themselves and doing well. It will affect the health of their patients, and patient-centered care is the practice of caring for patients (and their families) in ways that are meaningful and useful for each patient. This includes listening, informing, and involving patients in their care.

Track 9: Public Health Nursing

While most nurses look after one patient at a time, public health nurses look after entire populations. By working with entire communities, public health nurses can educate people about health issues, improve community health and safety, and increase access to care. Public health nurses believe that a person's health is affected by many factors, including genetic makeup, lifestyle, and environment. Instead of expecting patients to return to the hospital with illness, they are going to communities to undertake to assist people improve their health and stop illness. For people who do not have access to care, public health nurses can also provide direct health care services, including preventive care, screening services and health education.

Track 10: Cardiac Nursing

Cardiac nursing is work with patients who suffer from various conditions of the cardiovascular system. Most clinical cardiovascular nurse specialists work in hospitals. They care for critically ill patients and those recovering from cardiac procedures such as bypass, angioplasty / pacemaker surgery. Cardiac nurses help treat conditions such as cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and cardiac dysrhythmia under the guidance of a cardiologist. Cardiac nurses can also help patients recover at home.

Track 11. Community and Family Nursing

Forensic nursing combines the practice of nursing and forensic pathology in the scientific investigation of deaths and injuries resulting from criminal activity and accidents. The specialized training that forensic nurses receive related to the medical and legal needs of these patients is driving demand for the specialty. Legal nursing includes roles such as:

Track 13. Advancements in Nursing

Advanced nursing practice, as it is now called, primarily involves the development of the nursing expertise, experience, and position beyond conventional technical limits. Some of the definitions are intended to explain the functions and tasks that specialized nurses perform, beyond the traditional scope of nursing practice. The continuous break provides a perfect chance for the nursing profession to revisit and reinvent the philosophy of clinical practice for this century, focusing on basic nursing knowledge and principles instead of stretching it into knowledgeable position.

Track 14: Adult Nursing

Adult nursing involves the care of adults, ages 18 to seniors, in a variety of settings for patients with widely varying levels of dependency.

General nursing is another term used to describe adult nursing.

The philosophy of adult nursing is patient-centered and recognizes the different needs, values, and beliefs of people from ethnically diverse communities. Nurses engage in and develop therapeutic relationships that involve patients and their careers in the ongoing decision-making that informs nursing care.

Adult nurses have the skills to meet the physical, psychological, spiritual, and social needs of patients, supporting them throughout the care journey and working with other health and social care professionals to maximize opportunities recovery, rehabilitation, adaptation to current illnesses and disabilities, health education and health promotion.

Track 15: New Technologies in Nursing Education and Practice

Nursing educators must prepare clinicians to promote health and increase wellbeing, but the basics of nursing education need to be redesigned in many countries as technology, science, and the demands of the public for effective and responsive health care, become more complex. In some countries and regions nursing curricula are outdated, not preparing nurses for further practice. The technology has many benefits, but there are huge gaps in technology access and training in nurse education and health settings, and challenges regarding the nature, cost, and high turnover of technology used in teaching-learning spheres. Other challenges include understandings about how technology influences on the wellbeing of patients, clinicians, learners, and educators. Technological innovation and improved globalization are closely interlinked, and nursing education must respond in a measured and carefully executed way, if it is to be relevant.
