Adult Nursing


Adult nursing involves the care of adults, ages 18 to seniors, in a variety of settings for patients with widely varying levels of dependency.



General nursing is another term used to describe adult nursing.



The philosophy of adult nursing is patient-centered and recognizes the different needs, values, ​​and beliefs of people from ethnically diverse communities. Nurses engage in and develop therapeutic relationships that involve patients and their careers in the ongoing decision-making that informs nursing care.



Adult nurses have the skills to meet the physical, psychological, spiritual, and social needs of patients, supporting them throughout the care journey and working with other health and social care professionals to maximize opportunities recovery, rehabilitation, adaptation to current illnesses and disabilities, health education and health promotion.
